Marcus Paige Promoted To Assistant Coach, Head JV Coach
Marcus Paige, the former four-year North Carolina basketball starter and the only three-time captain in program history, is now an assistant coach under Hubert Davis. That's an upgrade from his previous title as the director of team and player development last season. Paige is also in his first season as head coach of the Tar Heels' junior varsity team. Leaky Black Signs With Washington Wizards
The Washington Wizards have reached a contract agreement with free agent Leaky Black. Black spent his rookie season with the Charlotte Hornets after going undrafted out of UNC in 2023. The 6’6? forward saw limited action in 26 NBA games while on a two-way contract with Charlotte. He played a larger role for the Greensboro Swarm in the NBAGL. (Hoops Rumors)

2024-25 UNC Basketball Roster Released
North Carolina released its official 2024-25 basketball roster on Wednesday, featuring updated heights, weights, and jersey numbers for all 14 players. New players this season include freshmen Ian Jackson, Drake Powell, and James Brown, plus transfers Cade Tyson (Belmont), Ven-Allen Lubin (Vanderbilt), and Tyzhaun Claude (Georgia Tech). Carolina Basketball's Zayden High Leaves School
North Carolina forward Zayden High will not play for the Tar Heels in 2024-25 as he is no longer enrolled in the school, the program announced on Tuesday afternoon. The 6-foot-9, 225-pound Texas native played sparingly in his first season with the Tar Heels, averaging 0.8 points and 1.1 rebounds in 4.5 minutes per game across 23 appearances. (Inside Carolina)
