Astolfo succeeds in dismantling the defenses but is shot from the sky and lands on the Gardens where Semiramis prepares to finish her. Before she can, though, Mordred interrupts her. Back outside, Achilles traps himself and Chiron in a bounded field so they can finish their fight undisturbed. Both engage in hand-to-hand combat, and Achilles ultimately gets the upper hand. However, before he dies Chiron lays a trap for Achilles which strips him of his immortality and with his last breath tells Achilles to give one of his Noble Phantasms to the Black Faction. Back on the Gardens, Astolfo is surprised when Achilles appears and gives something to her.

She destroys the door, allowing Sisigou to enter, and he gives her an antidote to the poison. Reinvigorated, Mordred confronts Semiramis again and defeats her, but Sisigou is fatally wounded in the process. Sisigou tells Mordred to save herself and make a contract with someone else, but she refuses and sits by his side until his last breath. Astolfo and Sieg continue after Jeanne, but Astolfo is caught in a magical trap and Sieg rushes off without her. Jeanne reaches the Greater Grail but is confronted by Shakespeare who uses his Noble Phantasm to taunt her with memories from her previous life and her feelings for Sieg. But Jeanne is unable to face her feelings for him.

She convinces Gilles to fight for her, and he sacrifices himself to save her. Jeanne finally accepts her feelings for Sieg and unleashes her Noble Phantasm, which takes one of Shirou’s arms. With all of her power exhausted, Jeanne assures Sieg they will meet again before disappearing and leaving Leticia behind. Astolfo and Caules arrive but are blocked by Semiramis who survived Mordred’s attack but is badly wounded. Sieg goes toe to toe with Shirou in his human form and is able to hold his own. Caules realizes that the blast from Frankenstein’s monster’s Noble Phantasm, Blasted Tree, that hit him imbued him with some of her power. Shirou is able to heavily wound Sieg, but Sieg is able to grab onto him and unleashes his own version of Blasted Tree, engulfing both of them in a massive explosion.

Episode 25: Apocrypha

As the explosion clears, Semiramis is able to retreat with Shirou, though both of them are fatally wounded. Shirou accepts his defeat before he and Semiramis die. Sieg and Astolfo wake up and find themselves inside the Grail. The Grail asks them for their wish. Unable to undo Shirou’s wish, Sieg wishes to be made into a dragon so he can carry the Grail to the Reverse Side of the World, an alternate dimension where the Grail’s magic will be nullified. With his final order, Sieg commands Astolfo to go and bring joy to the world, and she reluctantly leaves. Astolfo, Caules, and Leticia are able to escape the Gardens before it collapses and they witness Sieg carrying the Grail away. The scene is also seen by Shakespeare, who uses it to finish his story before fading away. With the war concluded, Caules is accepted back into the Mages Association, Fiore gives up on being a mage and enters rehab to regain the use of her legs, Leticia returns home to France, and Astolfo sets off on her mission to bring joy to the world. Some time later, Jeanne’s spirit reaches the Reverse Side of the World and she reunites with Sieg, turning him back into a human.
